Be honest, when someone is driving like a moron more often than not do you notice they have an educator license plate? This happened to me yesterday morning. I noticed someone driving badly and not signalling to get over as they cut in front of everyone. Well, surprise, surprise, surprise they are an educator!
I'm not saying all teachers drive and park like idiots, because most of the teachers I know don't identify themselves as such on their license plates. I have always believed ones driving reflects who they are, even if its just who they are in that moment. Example, when I'm in a bad mood, the entire world is deadwood, especially if I'm in traffic. If I'm in a good mood, I let people merge and get over as they please because i'm just a kind person. So I don't believe all bad drivers are bad drivers all the time.
However, when you signify yourself as something on the back of your car, such as an educator, you should probably then be careful how you present yourself, via your driving, to the rest of the world. Although you aren't celebrity status where everyone is watching you, don't be so daft as to assume no one notices your pretty license plate that you got cheaper because you are a government employee.
Perhaps the educator license plate is magical and transforms even the worlds best drivers into complete morons! Then we can assume that it isn't even the drivers fault but the license plates mystical powers overriding a normally pleasant person into a giant hot coal of RAGE! Or not.
So educators, the next time you feel the need to cut in front of me in traffic, consider this: I am not above ramming your educator license plate into your trunk :-)
