I know it's been a while since I've blogged. But, in my defense... well there has been quite a bit happening and I wasn't able to. It's been a busy two weeks and although I am extremely happy to be a little calmer now, I know it won't last.
So, how was everyone's fourth of July? Mine was alright, cept for ya know being in the bad part of Atlanta while my car got booted because I parked in a lot that I thought I needed to pay for when I left cause that's how all the lots I've been to downtown are. Let's just say that experience was one of the most horrifically terrifying of my life.
You know what it's like when someone looks at you and are contemplating approaching you in a way that could be harmful to you. Women see it all the time in the eyes of men who can't control themselves. Try being a tiny girl, alone with about $1,000 worth of electronic equipment and two out of every three people who pass you are giving you that look.
Thanks to the kindness of a new found friend, I was able to stand by my car safely, although even with two women, some of the passers by were still thinking bad thoughts!
This was one of those times when you want a gun but you don't want to have to use it. Didn't help that I was within spitting distance of the city jail either.
Yeah...
So, here's to hoping everyone else's July 4th celebrations were greatly better than mine!
