Prius commercial

Okay, I was planning to write about a different topic, but I'm listening to Pandora and that ANNOYING Prius commercial came on. You know, the one with that annoying little boy singing about how great the Prius is and how it's the "Car of the future" and that everyone should "hum"?

Okay, first of all... NO ONE HUMS IN THE SONG EVER... so that's stupid.

Second, the Prius is not the most eco-friendly car ever created, and in fact is probably no different than a Honda Civic. The car itself travels several million miles before it is put on display for some poor fool to buy with an inflated price tag because its made with "rare earth metals" like copper and nickel. The production of the car causes more pollutiont than a 100 year lifespan of a 1972 Chevy pick-up. (More info)

So while Johnny do-gooder is driving his Prius like he stole something and expecting it to get 50 miles to the gallon, normal educated people like myself  know that buying diesel powered vehicles that can average 70 miles to the gallon depending on your drive is the wise choice.

My point is this, I REALLY REALLY HATE that commercial, and I just did all of this so you can hate it too!
